    Great Place To Work just published its Southeast Asia Best Workplaces in Technology list for 2026, and Full Scale is on it at No. 15 in the medium company category.

    What I love most about this one is who decided it. Our developers did.

    The only way onto the list is for the people who actually work at your company to say, confidentially, that it’s a great place to work. Nobody in leadership gets a vote, and nobody in leadership can lobby for it.

    So this post is partly an announcement and mostly a thank-you note.

    The ranking comes straight from the team

    Great Place To Work builds these lists primarily from its Trust Index survey, where employees respond to 60 statements about their actual experience: leadership, fairness, respect, pride, growth, and whether they trust the people running the place. The answers are confidential, so nobody is telling the boss what he wants to hear, and no panel of judges ever sees a slide deck from our marketing team.

    For the 2026 Southeast Asia technology list, that meant more than 58,200 survey responses representing over 219,200 employees across the region. From all of that, 20 companies made each size category.

    Nobody can buy a spot on this list, and it turns out nobody can charm their way onto it either. Believe me, I would have tried.

    This is a regional list, and the company on it is good company

    The benchmark on this one is every leading technology employer across Southeast Asia, measured across multiple markets and employee populations, not a Philippines-only field. That’s what separates it from a country-level award.

    We won a workplace award without a mandatory workplace

    My favorite thing about this Great Place To Work ranking: Full Scale has a real office in Cebu, and almost nobody is required to set foot in it. Our engineers work remotely from across the Philippines.

    So the “workplace” our team rated is the everyday stuff, not a building with good snacks: whether your manager actually helps you grow, whether training is real or a checkbox, and whether leadership tells you the truth when the news is bad. The training one I can prove: our Spartan Training Academy runs AI upskilling for all 350+ of our engineers, with live sessions multiple times a month. That’s the workplace we’ve been building since 2018, and it’s the one our remote work culture runs on.

A company with bad survey scores doesn’t make the list no matter what it spent. That’s why I trust this one more than most awards.

    How is this different from Full Scale’s Great Place to Work certification?

    The certification is a country-level bar: enough employees rate the company highly on the Trust Index survey and the company is certified for the year. The Best Workplaces list is a competitive ranking on top of that, where certified companies across all of Southeast Asia are benchmarked against each other and only the top 20 per size category make it. We’ve held the certification two years running, and this year we made the ranked list on top of it.
